    Default Ovie/ MAFleury for Heatley/Quick

    Hi

I'm torn with this trade as I'm torn in giving up Heatley's Dual position eligibility and Quick's season with the Kings.

My team is below. Would you do this trade?

My Heatley/Quick for his Ovechkin/MAF. I've been trying to give Semin instead of Heatley but he won't take it.

I picked up Johnson 10 days ago and the Pittsburg dual could be insurance for now. The league is daily roster moves and I try to make 2 (out of max 4) moves a week , based on team performance/schedules. The bolded players are ones I have picked up since draft/ can drop without losing much sleep.

I keep Heater and Quick. The difference you'll see in points with be nothing compared to the goaltending stats and their inevitable decline. Quick is the man in LA (regardless of what some will say about Bernier) and his numbers are solid right now.

You're right to not want to give up Heater's dual eligibility, as it makes him more valuable and versatile.

i'd do it...it's basically Ovechkin for Heatley which is a big bump in your favor and in H2H having both him and Semin...when it rains with the caps on offense (which is the vast vast majority of the time) it's gonna pour heavily on your opponent with that combination..You also have two solid starters besides quick plus johnson so the addition of Fleury will only guarentee you have a pittsburgh starter secured for the season along with two other solid starting netminders on top of it...i'd definitely do it

Easy accept for me. Ovy > Heatley.

Personally, If I had Ovie and someone offered me Heatley and Quick I'd laugh in their face.

What people are failing to see is the stat categories and how this makes sense for his team. Sure, Ovey is better than Heatley; I'm not saying he isn't. But you have to take into account the impact that Fleury will have on his numbers. Realistically, given Heatley's AVERAGE over the past two season, he's due to make 80 points (remember he was on Ottawa in the first year of this) and his first year in San Jose isn't indicative of what he is capable of on that team. In 10 games this year he has 13 points. Could easily be 85-90 points this year. Ovey will clear over 100.. So that's 15-20 points int he difference which is made up by Quick.

    My two cents.

ovie, easy accept. He'll get more of everything then heatley. I personally don't see quick keeping up his steller stats. Kings were great last year for a good stretch and then slowed down, and I don't see Fleury being this bad all year, and if you have Johnson as insurance your bound to get wins from a good Pitts team.

Thanks for the insight. The trade end up being

Ovie/MAf/ Mikko Koivu for my Heately, B Campbell, and Quick.

So it goes through my lineup will be

C: M Richards, M Koivu [Will drop Dubinsky]
    LW: Ovie, Cooke
    RW: Semin, Bourque
    D: Seabrook, Pronger, Gonchar
G: Brodeur, Fleury, Neuvirth, B Johnson
    IR: M Savard

My league has HITs too so Ovie is dominant in that category too. I hope Brodeur and NJ turns it around and at least more of a .500 team as opposed to their current slump!
