1st year of a 2 year semi-keeper points only (g = 1, a = 1). we keep 4 forwards and 2 dmen for next year, no positional requirements. 13 teams, 16 forwards and 4 dmen deep.

for my

kovalchuk, ju.williams, holmstrom and boyle

while i\'d like not to part with kovalchuk, to get someone to take the dead weight that is boyle off my hands would be great as we do not have an IR spot, so he\'s just been sitting there, quietly getting me no points. especially with him being a question mark when he returns, as to whether he\'ll be able to regain his former scoring touch with that wrist.

anyways, i countered with his

st.louis, h.sedin, boyes and visnovsky

for the same guys he asked from me.

for the record, my current keepers would be kovalchuk, b.richards, nash and ju.will, boyle and either bouwmeester and ej on the blueline. this deal would change it to st.louis, richards, sedin, and nash, visnovsky and j-bo or ej.

Kovalchuk > St.Louis: the difference is not great. My only concern is St.Louis is likely to be moved to another team. I still feel that he will put up similar numbers wherever he goes.

H.Sedin > Williams: Sedin will consistantly put up 90+. Williams on the other hand is on pace ofr a 77 pt season and seems to be a 75 pt guy although everyone seems to overvalue him.

Boyes = Holmstrom: Both players will settle around the 75-80 pt range.

Visnovsky > Boyle: I view them as equal normally with the edge to Boyle. But with his imjury stick with Visnovsky who is the PP QB for a very offensive LA team.

I like this trade and your keepers will improve.

What about goalies?

no goalies in this league, which i thought was normal for the first go-round with this pool, as i\'m still a FH newb. didn\'t really take goalies into account until this year when i started playing \'real\' fantasy hockey and joined 2 other leagues.

we do have teams though with 1 pt for a win and 3 for a shut-out and we have to carry 2 each. mine are florida and nashville. i won\'t be keeping either of them for next year, as they get lumped in with the dmen in our draft, which is 1 draft for dmen and teams and 1 for the forwards.

All i have to say is do the trade that favors St.Louis.
