How did he look tonight? Focused and mentally stable I hope.

Stopped 31 of 32 shots, so it looks promising on paper, but I didn't get a chance to catch the game.

Also, how was Anaheim? Did they have some strong scoring chances?

31 saves is a lot more impressive if Anh was playing well.

I didn't see all of it but from what I did Mason looked very sharp. I know Anaheim had quite a few powerplays and Mason didn't allow a goal on any of them. I'm no Justin Goldman but the goal that beat him he seemed like he wasn't out challenging the shooter enough, even though it was a nice wrister by Selanne. After that though he seemed to challenge more and made a really nice glove save on Visnovsky that stuck out. Overall very good, solid game from what I saw.

Good game for Mason, however, that team gives up far too many quality chances. Its going to be a long yr for him. They need to keep the shots below 30/game. Use that as a barometer for Mason's statistical performance this yr. His stats wont be good again if they allow >30 shots IMO.

He probably should have had that Selanne wrister, beat him short side. But give credit to Teemu, he's still pottin goals and all of them have been far from garbage goals. Good signs in Mason's game...he was out on top of the paint for most of the night and tracking the puck fairly well (though I only watched about half the game)
