What Type of Hockey Pool do you like best?

Roto system
H2H with Points

Roto is my favourite, then points only. I like the theory of H2H, but it\'s better suited to baseball or football where the games played are more equal. Some teams in the NHL can play two games per week, while others four in a week.

This would be a good poll for Dobber to run.

It doesn\'t matter which format really - each presents a different strategic challenge that if GMs are well matched will provide a fun and interesting season.

I think you will find if you really chased this to the nth degree that folks will vote for the league format where they were able to be competitive with the field and perhaps they knew others in the league.

I have played them all and enjoyed them all depending on the other GM\'s being active and reasonably astute. Love the spy vs spy element of it. Each format requires a different approach and one needs to understand that - flock shooting fantasy hockey formats doesn\'t work.

I LOVE H2H with weekly changes instead of daily updates.
(makes you plan out your week, take a gamble, be more accountable/live with your moves)

If/When i do Roto, I prefer straight up stats with 0 limits on games played, and moves allowed. (but am ok with a limit on moves allowed to make the league/managers more accountable and not click-happy)

Doesn\'t matter to me really, as long as the other manager and league are fun. I am in a points league, a few H2H leagues and a Roto league so I love all of em.

couldnt you just make the rules to set your line-up weekly instead of daily and that way you could elimante the roster limit factor? because everyone would be on the same page.

I like H2H with points in a keeper league. I love the over all strategy of it. Win or lose it is always interesting.

I lost a game this year by .1 points. In our league that is a SOG I lost by AHHHH!

Forgot... I like the daily line-up changes, especially for injuries that happen early in a week.

Agree with this! I did mostly pts only, but did try a roto this year and I\'ve try H2H.

The most important factor is definitly having fun with great managers!

I like the H2H with Cats as well. I am in a few of those. My favourite has to be the one in my sig. it is like H2H with position as the categories and based on points and +/- for each player. Makes great wingers even more valuable.
