Default Which goalie to take 1st?

Hello Dobber Nation. It's great to be back with all of you ready for another glorious season.

My draft is tonight (YESSS!) and I need a goalie. I'm considering taking one with my first pick. We get 2pts for a goalie win and aother 3 for a SO (making it 5 total). Many of the studs are protected already so out of these goalies, considering just wins and SO's who do you think is worth taking as your number one goalie?

    Rinne
    Kipper
    Anderson
    Bryzglaov
    Backstrom
    Ward

Thanks for any and all opions.

    Let the games begin!!
Head to Head League: 1 point for G, 1 point for A. 2 for Goalie win, 3 for SO.
Start 6 guys every week. 3 O, 2 D and 1G. No substitutions once they are in (before the first game starts on Monday).
Protect 3 players every year in keeper.
    10 rounds of drafting
F: Crosby, Point, P. Kane, JVR, Kopitar, Rakell, Tarasenko,
D: Letang, Doughty, Karlsson, Grzelcyk, Faulk,
    G: Bob, Shesterkin, Demko, Kahkonen

Here is how I would rank them. The spaces indicate tiers of a sort. Backstrom and the Wild are in trouble in 2010. Stay clear.

    Rinne
    Bryzglaov

    Kipper
    Ward
    Anderson

As the first two but I would choose Bryzgalov first.

Thanks so far guys. My worry is that Phoenix was a mirage last year.

Also, I'm wondering why you don't rank Anderson too high. I think Colorado is going to be improved this year.

I think Colorado might have been more of a mirage than the Coyotes. Phoenix has a winning system, especially for a goalie like Bryzgalov.

The had a great start to the season, but remember that they would have easily been out of the Playoffs had Calgary not completely fallen apart in the last month of the season. Colorado was 8-10-1 in March & April. They still have a very weak division, so that will help; I just like Phoenix over them

Phoenix is a good team. They just get no respect because "how could a bankrupt team be good". Makes for great late round picks, as people are afraid to touch them with a 10 foot pole.

    Anyone else have any opinions?

    Bryzgalov.

How can a guy who has been super-elite the last TWO years be a mirage? If I were you, i'd be more worried about Rinne & Nashville. That just doesn't strike me as a team that is impressive on any level other than the fact that they have Rinne and Weber.

I had a pretty good discussion about it earlier in the off-season.

Reason why Bryz will have a good season... two words DAVE TIPPET

Well, I took Kipper with the first pick overall. And I got Anderson in the third round, surprisingly. Thanks for all your help. I was thinking of taking Anderson first at one time and i ended up with him anyway with the 35th pick overall.
