Is there any chance i don't win this pool? 8 man one year league, categories were weird (G,A,PPP, GWG, SOG, +/- and W,Sv% and GAA). I had 6th overall pick and was worried malkin and stamkos wouldn't fall to me....turns out i got them both hahaha. I took stamkos over malkin at 6th only because gwg and shots were categories and pims wasn't, then somehow he fell to 10th.

C - Stamkos, Malkin, Tavares
LW - Marleau, Laich, Neal
RW - Hossa, Kessel, Hemsky
D - Weber, E. Johnson, Visnovsky, Yandle
G - Bryzgalov, Rinne, Turco

Also notables on the waiver wire include Vokoun, Doan, Morrow and M. Koivu. You guys drop anyone on the team for one of them?

Like Vokoun over Turco, Koivu over Tavares in a year. Your LW is also kind of weak FWIW.

I'm thinking ideal scenario, malkin gets LW elgibility and i move him from centre, drop neal and pick up koivu.

Overall not a bad team, the problem with 8-teamers is that all teams look like that so it ends up being stars vs stars and not really much about better managing your team compared to your opponents.

Laich I don't think should belong in a 8-teamer's roster. I might be inclined to pick up Morrow instead, but if you want to keep Laich for the +/- that's fine too...

Keep Turco over Vokoun... Turco is on the Hawks and they were the best defensive team in terms of SOG allowed to the opponents by a far margin too, he might not be a great goalie individually, but on a defensive team that'll mask some of his deficiencies.

ya thats what i was thinking with Vokoun, especially since SO isn`t a category. Also taking a second look back on my team i think i was blinded by the fact i got both Malkin and Stamkos. Should be a pretty competitive league
