Dobber has Stepan pegged as a potential 80 pt guy down the road. IF he gels on the top line, does that number change? Dobbs also has him with low pims, is he that clean?

Look, Gaborik has 2 80 pt seasons on his resume and he is a much better player than Stepan. You honestly think he will get more than 80 pts, if so, its pure luck. If you got 70 pts last yr, thats top 30 in scoring. Please dont overrate prospects realistic scoring potential.
Stepan just sniped over the blocker shoulder of Leclaire...if this shot means anything, the guy is in for good things!

How do you not, after so many years here, understand Dobber's concept of upside? It's the absolutely perfect season where everything clicks. That's upside according to Dobber. In this case, 80 is possible. I'd up it to 90 as the very max he could achieve in a perfect season. And I mean perfect.

That was what I thought, I figured playing with Frolov and Gabby would help his numbers.
Hoping that Gabby stays healthy, Gabby elevates Frolov to more consistency, if thats the case, cant hurt being in between these guys.

looks like nyr has made their final cuts before reg season (23 man roster + 2IR). Stepan is still on the team. Unless Prospal/Drury are get healthy enough for game 1 (pretty unlikely at this point), Stepan should be on the ice for the rangers game opener.

Oh I understand it perfectly. Im trying to convey that the mean production over a players prime yrs is more useful in evaluating a players contribution to your team. A 1 yr spike doesnt mean anything.
