Dobber Pirate League Season 3
Ahoy Dobber Pirates....ya that is as far as my pirate language goes. it is time to test our skills and prove our manhood as pirates, who enjoy two types of booty.
Please apply if you plan on being active. we will be doing an offline draft, probably on this site so everyone can see the results.
New members, anyone can join but they will have to be approved first. I am thinking of having a 12 team league, so for the remaining spots left (we will have a few available for sure), we are looking for DEDICATED managers. not ones who will leave halfway. activeness and participation is much more valued than knowledge, after all this league is about having fun. last year, my team was pretty crap but i still tried to talk shit when facing off against the better teams (obviously i still lost) lol.
Rule changes, scoring cats, positions etc can all be discussed here. i want to promote trading, so if you guys know the cats/positions/etc that will boost trades i'm all for it. i look forward to seeing the old gang mixed with some new. the more active you are on dobber, the higher chance you have of making the squad! Also the more often you post on this thread with suggestions, and piratey stuff also bolster your odds! This is a pretty fun league and we are already in our third year so we are looking for enthusiastic individuals!

What do you have to do to get in the league? I play all the major fantasy sports, but hockey is my favorite. I am active daily in my leagues. I don't have a lot of posts on Dobber, but i hope that isn't held against me.

I am definitely interested in joining and will be committed and active throughout the year...I have run several fantasy leagues and agree that trading makes it the most fun and interesting.
In terms of scoring categories....if we are truly going to be swashbuckling pirates and test out manhoods...then how can we have a league that doesn't count HITS as a category.
Time to buckle the chinstraps....

it will likely be h2h as it promotes shittalking between pirates. it will be run on yahoo. it won't be a keeper unless you guys want to implement that this year.
