Chris Kunitz and my 4th in next year's draft in exchange for the 20th overall pick in our currently ongoing FA/rookie draft. Took Kyle Beach with that pick. What are your thoughts?
I'll miss Kunitz, however I've been a huge fan of Beach the last 4-5 months. Love his points/pim upside. Do you think I made the right move? Do you think Beach will make the team this year?

Kunitz doesn't exactly have the worst points/pim's upside when healthy either. However, with Comrie coming in and Staal being played with Malkin, who knows where Kunitz will fit in?
Hell, both guys have certain amounts of risk, but I think this could very well be worth it.
it wont make or break your team at all, so screw it, why not gamble a bit...I like the deal
If you don't need Kyle Beach this year and can afford to let him play another year in the AHL, the rewards for you and CHI will be great. I don't think CHI can afford his cap hit this year, but he is an upgrade on Steve Downie if you can wait.

meh, this is one of those deals that I just dont know...might work out for you, might not. Personally I sort of prefer Kunitz because PIT has no better wingers so hes gonna get the mins, Beach is all potential and no action at this point
Kunitz was ranked my 3rd worst winger and Blake or Laperriere wouldn't have been enough to get it done. I'm just hoping Beach makes it this year. He has potential to be Downie but with higher goal totals.
