Eberle over Vanek to me.
Even if just for pure tradability later. That said i see eberle outpointing Vanek this year straight up.
C - Erik Christensen, Jordan Eberle, Cody Hodgson, Evgeni Malkin, Mike Ribeiro
LW - Guillaume Latendresse, Mason Raymond, Ryan Smyth, Thomas Vanek, Patrick Sharp (C)
RW - Danny Briere, Eric Fehr, Marian Hossa, Patrick Kane
D - Brian Campbell, Carlo Colaiacovo, Drew Doughty, Alex Goligoski, Niklas Hjalmarsson, Joni Pitkanen, Ryan Whitney
G - Josh Harding, Cristobal Huet, Antti Niemi, Cam Ward
I need to pick 10 keepers and there is also still time to trade. Looking to get thoughts on who i should keep and who should i look to package to get an upgrade.
My thoughts currently are
C - Malkin
LW - Vanek, Sharp
RW - Hossa, Kane
D - Campbell, Doughty, Goligoski
G - Ward, Niemi
Questions - Eberle, Hodgson, Ribeiro, Briere
we start 4L/4C/4R/5D/2G
and stat cats are G/A/PIM/SOG/PPP W/GAA/SVS
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, i was a previous 3 time back to back to back champ but finished a dissapointing 6th last year, need to get back to the top!

I would definitely consider Eberle over Campbell. Pts only, I wouldn't mind him, but in a roto league, I'm sure there will be better D available at the draft. I know Campbell is probably an homer pick, but I prefer the high upside of Eberle.
Eberle is above Hodgson imo and Ribeiro is re-draftable. I would consider Briere, but I have a feeling can do better than him this and if not next.
Hope this help my friend!

I would also keep Eberle over Campbell, if only for the sake of the hype machine. Even if he doesn't perform quite as well as expected (which is possible) he will certainly be harder to draft again than Campbell.
I'd hang on to Vanek though. He's due for a bounceback.

Todd --- you're like Newman.
He beat me to it. I was about to suggest the same thing: Eberle over Vanek or Campbell. I like his long-term upside. I think of Vanek as a 60-65pt guy. Eberle will be that next year or the year after. Beyond that, he could be an 80pt guy. He's your keeper.
Thanks for the quick responses, yes Campbell was my last choice and it may be a slightly homer choice.
Ribeiro has very low value in my league so i would expect to be able to redraft him if i wanted and Briere might just be a numbers thing.
I found it interesting so far how low guys are on Vanek, pehaps he is a name i can dangle out there with perhaps Campbell or someone to get an upgrade some place, thoughts?
Why no love for vanek?? Yes his consistency is an issue but hes still young and has averaged 34 goals a season since entering the league...thats not easy to find on waivers
