Sorry. I don't like it at all.

My last offer to acquire Crosby was:

Roberto Luongo, Martin St.Louis, Daniel Alfredsson, a waiver move, and a 1st round pick. It was rejected.

If you move Crosby, you want more. Even in a 1 year.

If Tarasenko and Turris pan out, then this trade isn't so terrible. However, if they don't, you've got killed. Stastny is safely on the rise, but those other guys may not pan out. I also understand the need for goaltending given how bad it was before the trade, but I probably would have looked for more in both goaltending and wing help for Sid.

Whoa, is this a joke or what?! You gave up Crosby + 2 high picks and that's all you got in return? I'm having a really hard time believing this.

I hope you were either looking for a funny reaction, or posting a trade that someone else called fair and you wanted to quickly prove to them why it was a stinker.

Even if you took out all the other stuff you threw in, it's still a very bad trade.

Listen Superchief, it's not the worst deal in the world. You did get a very much needed great goalie and a valuable young center. However, what's done is done at this point and you just need to look at what you can do in the future to build up your roster. Don't let everyone piling on with the same exact opinion get you down. You win some, you lose some. My suggestion is that the next time you get an offer or are thinking about making an offer, consult us first. As you can see, we've got no shortage of guys willing to give opinions around here. Hopefully they'll just be a little more positively constructed next time.
