well if you factor in salary cap maybe the drop from Malkin (8.7M) to Backstrom (6.7M) is worth it. You can do bunch with 2 mil. Backstrom is no slouch, he's great to own!

Expected Leino to go a little earlier. Carle too. Briere and Bouwmeester relative late drafts are a result of their inflated contracts. It's remarkable how limiting a $56 million cap for 22 players really is...LOL.

yeah, I really wanted Byfuglien and Giordano with my two late 6th rounders, but I am happy with Jussi Jokenin (who I think will play with Staal and match, if not more, his last years totals) and Keith Ballard (especially for hits, blocks & pims)

I almost took Ballard over Giordano, but Gio's extremely cheap salary sealed the deal. Ballard will be top 20 on D every year in this format though, so he's a very good pickup.

It's funny how we can't make lists for more than 3 players ahead if that because of the high risk of the other gm looking at your player. Like I was confident I'd get Gio and boom, off the table. I'm like ok, I'll get Byf and then he gets drafted. !!! You really have to have plan B C D & E mapped out every time lol.

Ya, I finally just made one giant list of players that I'd like to obtain, and when that runs out (which it will since it's gone down 1/4 of the way) I'll make a new one.

    same here lol.

I'm done making 5-10 player lists. Taking out the 50+ list and run with it. but it just keeps getting shorter! It never ends!
