Spezza First Overall ???

A friend of mine siad I was crazy for picking Spezza first overall in my 07 playoff pool.

Question: Did anybody else pick Spezza first overall - or am I really crazy?

I too had the first pick overall and went with Briere. I think that\'s the best choice given that Buffalo \"should\" go deep into the playoffs. Spezza is a great choice if they beat PIT and if they get by BUF in round 2. Too many \"IF\'s\" for my liking.

My first choice would be Briere too ... but you can\'t call this guy \"crazy\" with picking Spezza !

For me, a \"crazy\" 1st choice would be a guy a guy like : Lecavalier, Hossa or Gaborik !

Not at all - if you like Ottawa, you have to take Spezza first overall. Simple as that.
In the only draft pool I was in this year, which was over at the THN office, I drafted Crosby 14th. However, if I had the first overall pick, I would have made him #1.
Picks were different in every pool likely. Spezza, Briere, Crosby, Selanne, Thornton, Forsberg were all first round picks somewhere...

I ended up picking Christensen from PIT with my second last pick and Sullivan with my last in a 13 man, 9 team pool. I regret Christensen but am quite happy with Sullivan. I\'ll be even happier when NSH beats up on SJ.

why did i take kotalik instead of zubrus or campbell!! lets hope he will be more visible next game. You cant be that invisible when drury is that hot

not picking Zubrus or Campbell makes sense to me - streaky comes to mind. I chose Drury with my first pick - whimsy. So far so good.

brieere went 1st in our local pool , spezza 11th , again it\'s playoff time , lots of the guys took buff and det. players early.if you think ottawa is going far then spezza is an excellent choice.

Zubrus will be the invisibility king when it is all said and done...

But I would have taken Campbell over Kotalik.

You should be shaking your head for taking Kotalik over Campbell or Zubrus. I took Kotalik b/c he was the only forward on BUF left.

i know... campbell is getting tons of PP time while kotalik.... hmmm none. What made me choose him was the fact that he was actualy pretty good last year in the playoffs... We\'ll see if he bounces back.
