I tend to agree with you that he will sit for the remainder of the weekend.. oh why did'nt i play it safe and start krejci instead.. anyways hindsight is 20-20.. pit only goes twice next week and boston goes 4 so i'll probably sit him next week anyways if i get past this weeks matchup (up 9pts at the moment)..

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin(notes) will miss a third consecutive game Saturday due to a bruised right foot.
Malkin skated for about 15 minutes during practice Friday but didn’t look comfortable before leaving the ice. Coach Dan Bylsma later said he wouldn’t play against the Flyers.
Malkin’s status for Sunday’s game against Toronto remains uncertain.
