Rask Holdover?

Hey guys,

I can hold either Steve Mason or Rask in a keeper. My gut tells me the way Rask has been playing he is the next big thing. What does everyone think?

Man that is a tough call. You can deal with task potentially splitting starts for the next couple years I would stick with him. Same, if not better skill-set, without the injury history. Slight edge to rask

Holy shit that is about the toughest call I've seen...

I have to give the edge to Mason if just for the extra "experience" in games played...Man...that is a tough call, bc I love the way Rask plays....No way to keep both eh?

I know it is a tough call. I would think if Thomas does get traded at the deadline then Rask would be a clear number one right? Ya know how goalies have sophmore slumps. I just can't see it from Rask. Out of all the young goalies out and about, he makes saves looks so easy. Because he is so calm and doesn't panic with the puck. I have a GM who wants to trade me Fleury. But he wants the kitchen sink. So I think if Thomas is traded I will keep Rask. You ever pick up a player in a draft and or waivers and then trade them or drop them only to become superstars and you kick yourself for letting them go? That is how I feel about Rask!! I think I will go with my gut on this.

You really can't lose with Rask. I'm actually looking to move Nabokov at his peak to get a sick return (help up front) just because I know Rask is so good. The job is his next year. Thomas will get traded. The Beans were forced into signing him for so long, because he won the vezina. Otherwise it would have been a 2 year deal and he'd be on the move...
