yeah its getting ridiculous... I've got a combined ONE shutout from Price, Howard, and Fleury this season... Halak has 2 more than off of them combined.

Hopefully this thread breaks the curse and tonights the night he gets one

I'm in the same boat and it's incredibly frustrating - it seems like whenever he plays really well his defence have a complete breakdown to let in that one goal.

Here's hoping for greener pastures down the stretch......

Shutouts are so random. It usually requires the team in front to play a consistent 60 minutes as much as it required the goalie to do so. He could easily string 3 shutouts in a 10 game stretch and make his season look more respectable.

Doubtful he'll get one all year, I have him and Luongo. I was expecting more than 3 combined shutouts, and my team has suffered as a result. Does anyone think that the loss of Scuderi and "the human bear hug" Gill is partly to blame?

I think he is on a very offensive minded team with some young defenders..and that's not going to lend itself to alot of shutouts.

Yeah losing Scuderi hurt. I have a strange feeling Johnson will get a shutout before Fleury hah

Hopefully his track record of being a great second half goalie holds true.
    Stats from 07/08 & 08/09 season

    Pre-All Star Break: 52 GP, 24 W, 2.85 GAA, .907 SV%, 4 SO
    Post-All Star Break: 45 GP, 30 W, 2.24 GAA, .924 SV%, 4 SO

Shutouts don't really improve but at this point I would be happy with a couple on the season

MA Fleury has to be one of the most overrated goalies for fantasy leagues in recent years. His #'s arent that great.

So true! People dont wanna hear it because he's a Penguin and he's from Canada, but this little faggot is so soft. His stats, except for wins (thanks Geno and Sid), are consistently shitty for a #1 goalie, and rarely does he steal games for that team. They win games for him. And I dont wanna hear about him having a Cup. It's the same philosophy as the Oilers in the 80's. The goaltending doesnt need to be spectacular to win. And so far, Fleury is FAR from spectacular this year or even last.

I agree somewhat. The biggest knock on Fleury, in my opinion, is his inconsistency. When he's on he's on but when he's off he is brutal, it seems like there is no middle ground.

He is probably over-rated in standard scoring leagues (GAA, SV%, SO, W) because of his team, but in Points-based leagues, like mine, he's a perennial top ten goalie.
