    Default Rask starting Sunday?

Bish's Blog seems to indicate Rask is getting the start today.

Haven't read anything about a Thomas injury. Worth noting that when Thomas injured his hand earlier in the season we didn't officially hear about it for a few days.

God I hope that's what it is! I have Thomas/Price/C.Mason in my keepers and I missed my games start minimum today with Halak & Rask going all week!

No injury to Thomas. Simply a choice made by Julien.

And the game is on CBC. Sweet. For a guy with no cable it's a big deal.

I'm not saying Thomas has lit it up or anything, but to keep starting a goalie who hasn't won in his last 9 games doesn't make much sense, especially since he's the back up.

Just find it weird but I've been wrong before.

I agree Smack and not just b/c I have a vested interest here. If the Bruins want to turn it around and make a run it's going to have to be on Thomas' shoulder's, not Rask. If Rask was on a Halak-like streak I could understand that, but he's not winning games either which is the whole point of hockey last time I checked.

I don't think it's been Rask's fault they have lost though, he has been very solid. It's just the Boston team as a whole crapping it up.

Rask has a 2.11 GAA and a .925 SV% on the year on an underacheiving team..... If I was a coach I'd feel pretty good having him in net, wouldn't you?

Not when the Thomas losses haven't really been his fault either. If Thomas was losing them games and Rask winning them games like the scenario in Montreal, I'd understand. But Rask hasn't exactly been amazing or done anything to take the #1 role from Thomas. Plain and simple for me.

I agree, neither of them have been the cause of Boston's losses, but Rask does have the better numbers (Thomas' are good too), I just assume they are going with the guy with the better numbers, makes sense to me.

This shutout likely means we see Tuukka again next game, and he DID steal this one for them lol
