    Thumbs up Please help!

need some advice on starters for this, the final week of our regular season. I am 2 pts back of the division lead and in a 3-way dogfight there.... 3 weeks ago at the trade deadline I acquired Brodeur to tandem with Luongo on what I thought would be a dominant duo, but instead he has literally cost me the division lead with his horrid play of late. Meanwhile, I have Theo and Emery on the bench and IR, respectively .... DARE I bench Marty for one of these guys? Or even Luongo, who was bad last week and continues on this brutal roadtrip tonight against the red-hot Sens?

We start 2 for the week Thu-Wed. Note that Marty and Theo have 4 games, but 2 are back to backs, so likely al will start 3.

    Luongo -- @OTT, @BOS, @TB
    Brodeur -- TOR, @NYR (B2B), @PHI, PHI
    Theodore -- @NYR, ATL (B2B), PIT, @MON
    Emery -- @MIN, NJ, @NJ

My gut says I have to just ride it out with the two main men, but I'm so torn ....arg.

    Any advice is appreciated,
    Cheers

the choice is definitely tougher than it looks, however you gotta ride out your olympic goalies! they can turn it around and help you win, just have some patience.

Yeah tough call but I think Vozzy said it best. Basically lately Theodore does 2 things great. Win and Get hurt. 2 things bad...Save percentage and Injured all the time.

Emery missed last night can't remember reason so go with Team canada.

    Definitely start Brodueur.
As for the other guy, I might be inclined to go with Theodore. I own him too and I've been enjoying his hot streak. I also like the Caps' matchups better than Vancouver's. Ottawa is hot, TB is very solid at home.

thanks for the replies ...i think i have to stick with the top 2.
Mostly becasue i just KNOW that if i sit one of them, he'll throw up shutouts on the bench while the guy i bring in will get lit up ....arg
if I lose this whole thing becasue my goaltending is not good enough with Luongo and Brodeur, then the hell with it. I'm going to pick up knitting as a pastime instead.

Why not Emery and Brodeur? This way you're guaranteed the two W for the two games where Philly and NJ face each other. Risky to keep out Luongo, but you can never spit at a couple of guaranteed wins in games that might be low scoring (especially with Lou and the Canucks on the road facing some tough matchups).

As for Theo, well, there was an interesting (amazing actually) stat on the Rambles today - Theo has had ONE game this year where his SV% was between 0.900 and 0.919, what does that tell you about his propensity to blow a week for you with a very bad game?!

    Good luck buddy!
