What would you do?
Looking for some advice. For the team in my sig I can protect 15 players, any position, heading into next year. looking at my goalies, what would be best for me? I like Rinne's chances of being a starter next year in either Nas or somewhere else. I also feel Halak [or Price] could get dealt enabling both to be starters. It would be nice to keep Varlamov, as I have Green & Backstrom, and Was looks to be somewhat of a powerhouse for at least a few years. Lehtonen's injury history just makes him unprotectable in my opinion. Perhaps I can move him for a draft pick if he comes back and plays reasonably well. Here are the 2 options I'm considering
1) Put a waiver in for Neuvirth [dropping Lehtonen, must be position for position], trade away Halak, then protect Varly, Neuvirth, and Rinne
or
2) Trade away Varly for upgrade somewhere else, trade away Lehtonen, then keep Halak & Rinne
Would you do either of these, or something else?
