    Default Damn Vokoun!

Can you believe I was able to miss Vokoun's last 4 shutouts!? I like Vokoun over Quick and that's what I usually go for but it seems every time I bench this guy he wins AND gets his shutouts. I always want to trade him out of frustration and then I think to myself mmm... I'll get the next one. Obviously, I miss the next one and the next one AND the next one.

I'll get the next one right?

    Wow!

No offense, but do me a favor and leave him on your bench, I can use the help. LOL!

Vokoun is such a frustrating goalie to own.... he can put up a string of two or three amazing games, and then crap the bed for 5 or 6 against. Incredibly inconsistent considering how good he is.

I posted this in another forum about a week ago...

He's supposed to be my big secret weapon this season, but since I like you guys so much at the Dobber community I'll share...

What you get him for is the career: 2.30 GAA and .924 sv% in the month of April (playoff time during H2H or final stretch run of roto-leagues).

Or if you want to look at deeper numbers he has career ASB splits of:
    2.64, .913 pre
    2.44, .920 post

Last season his splits were even more apparent with 2.68, .916 pre and 2.29, .935 post...

Basically if you want a Luongo, Brodeur, Nabby type but don't want to fork out the star power to acquire them, Vokoun is the type of player that will help you quietly win championships.
