Connolly (hip) cut practice short on Thursday, The Buffalo News reports.
Recommendation: According to Coach Lindy Ruff, Connolly is still experiencing some hip pain from his surgery last year and is just trying not to overexert himself in practice. While the Sabres' busy schedule doesn't give Connolly much time to rest, he is still expected to be in the lineup on Friday against the Blackhawks.
