What about this business about Emery playing with an injury?

I think most of you are way over reacting and have invested too much into your magical crystal balls. I've watched almost every Philly game and goaltending is not the issue. The issue is that Philly has stopped playing defence. When someone learns to backcheck and not make the goalies make 3 or 4 saves in a row, then things will get better.

    Emery will be fine.
Head to Head League: 1 point for G, 1 point for A. 2 for Goalie win, 3 for SO.
Start 6 guys every week. 3 O, 2 D and 1G. No substitutions once they are in (before the first game starts on Monday).
Protect 3 players every year in keeper.

    this is good to know
I haven't watched many games except the Canucks game, where noone showed up to play in Philly (was Boucher in), and the Sabres game (went to that one), where Emery did look bad on the 2 critical late goals.

I'm not saying Emery is blameless, he isn't. But the whole team has gone south, not just him. When your team in front of you doesn't inspire confidence, it makes you vulnerable at least imo. I think this is too talented of a team to write them off, they will get better.

I agree with the sentiment that people are overreacting on Emery, however, Emery just isn't a goalie that's going to steal some wins with his play. I can't think of any this year for the Flyers, It doesn't make him a bad goalie, it just means he should probably be a back-up, or 1B guy.

You have guys that can do that though, Vokoun can still get a win for a struggling Panthers team, but Emery, if the team in front is struggling you're going to see a bunch of .850 sv. pct games and not many wins. I'm sure the Flyers can live with that, especially at his price, but as a fantasy owner I wouldn't want to.

If I could trade him after a hot streak, I would.

Plus its a B2B game and there has been talk of Emery with a slight injury.

Seriously though, I think that we can put a bit of this defensive/goaltender collapse down to Timonen.

He shouldn't be playing with a broken toe or whatever he has. He got completely raped by Laraque creating a 2 on 1 and setting up Cammerleri.

Wouldn't have happened if he was 100%

Really think he should just take some time off, because I think a rookie might be better in this case
