Here are my choices for next year can only hold one.


1. Varlamov
2. Price
3. Steve Mason
4. Fleury
5. Thomas
6. Rask
7. Miller

Very tough. But if you can only hold 1 over for just next year, I would rank them as such:

Fleury
Miller
Thomas
Mason/Price
Varly
Rask

Fleury for sure would be #1.

Then:
Miller
Price
Varly
Mason
Rask
Thomas (HUGE fan of Thomas, just something isn't sitting right with me this year with him and Rask).

Price, Varly and Mason are all virtually tied, I just flipped a coin.

I feel the same about Thomas I traded Thomas and Little for Varlamov and Mark Streit. As much as I love Thomas, Varlamov looks like he is going to be the #1 goalie in Washington and last night he was the best player on the ice. He looks like he has been playing in the NHL for years. I went with my gut feeling on this trade and I am hoping it pays off. If not then ohh well!!
