    Default Question Re: Defense Injuries

I have both Berard and Souray on my fantasy team. Although he is not injured, I also have Zhitnik on my team and he seems to be off the Thrashers top PP.

The league gives points for G/A\'s only and it is a non-keeper league.

Paul Ranger is available as an FA. Are any of the 3 dmen mentioned above worth waiving for Ranger? I suspect he will be playing with Boyle once he comes back.
    Forwards
    -Erat -Richards(Phi) -Zetterburg
    -Kovalchuk -Richards(T.B.) -Ribeiro
    -Tkachuk -Antropov -Kopitar
    -Boyes -Thornton -Lang

    Defense
    -Berard -Enstrom -Burns
    -Streit -Ranger -Niedermayer

    Goal
    -Biron -Holmqvist

I wouldn\'t. I\'d keep Zhitnik. Atlanta\'s got the second worst PP in the league right now. How long before they realize that Zhitnik at this point is a better option than Enstrom?

Ranger\'s ok, but I think Zhitnik will end up with more points at the end of the year.

Unless you are losing out by not dressing a defenceman, I\'d keep both Souray and Berard over Ranger as well.

Yeah I had Zhitnik at the end of last season and he was money in the bank - wait it out as the Comish suggests.

I agree with the Comish but....

Waddell is on the hotseat as he has created a disaster in ATL. He most definitely should be fired.

The only way Waddell can possibly save his job is if the youngsters he drafted miraculously step up and preform. No real coach would allow their veterans and stars to suffer with these youths taking all the prime time PP minutes and ice time. Ask Hossa how he likes his GM.

Waddell is not a real coach, just another horrible GM saving his own ass at the expense of his team.

Zhitnik\'s value will rise as soon as Waddell is fired.

    Update:

After my rant I found this article.
    Link
    Waddell is quotes as saying:
\"He\'s been a slow starter previously. We\'re trying to get him going, because we know if we\'re going to go, he\'s going to be a big part of it,\" Waddell said. \"It\'s something that we\'re aware of. We have to address it, and we need him to be better. No doubt about it.\"

    He better address it quick.
