Given the situation in montreal and it being Prices turn again, Nittymakki.
I would say Nitty anyway....minny isn't great and nitty is hot.

    Goal heavy. G=3.5 A=2 Add 0.5pts for D.
    Goalies:W=3,SO=4,start=2,Save=.1
    Assist +4, OF loss +1 loss= -1 Goal against -1
    C:MACKINNON,Kadri,Rossi,Thompson
    LW: KANE,HUBERDEAU,Marchand,kotkaniemi,Colton,N.Robert son
    RW:KUCHEROV,RANTANEN,Kessel,Bjorkstrand

Yeah, put me down for Nitty. I also think TB's offense is coming around and this is his shot to put another another in his attempt to steal the #1 job.
We get one of these - Don't waste it.

Really? I had no idea they were playing it like that. I thought for sure they would just be riding the better goalie for now. That really narrows down my choices.

    Thanks ddp and Smack.

I wish the Habs would just face reality and name Halak the #1 goalie. Force Price to pay his dues over the next season or two, the same way Halak has paid his dues. He's 2 years older than Price and is clearly ahead in his development, especially between the ears.

Just a mini rant to say that I hope Halak gets the start.

    Eric,
You one of many that feel that way. I still am one that does not. Price has proved he can do it at every level. The team in front of him is sh#t! Its not like Price is letting in soft goals. After the game in boston he seems like he has something to prove and is more focused. Bah, I'm done trying to convince people not to give up on him EVEN for this year. He is a way better goalie than halak. Taller, better technique, better handling the puck and can win the big games.

NYR, you can bet your bottom dollar Bob Gainey and the habs will continuously turn to Price. That goal halak let in vs the flames was shit...for that reason I think Price will start tomorrow...but thats just a guess. They'll continuously turn to him for the obvious reason, they KNOW he's a world class goalie and has ALL the tools...

Agree 100% about Price being a better goalie than Halak. However, I believe that AT THIS TIME Halak is better seasoned and more mentally tough than Price. And it definitely takes mental toughness to be the #1 goalie in MTL. Christ, it's a city that will produce articles if Price switches from Cheerios to Cornflakes.

For Price's long term development it may be best to remove him from the spotlight and let him win the #1 job.

But again, I may be wrong. The Pens took their shots to the nuts with Fleury for a couple years and now he's a leading candidate for the #3 goalie spot on Team Canada.

I'm going with Nitty tomorrow vs Wild. (Also starting Thomas) if that helps.

I think there is a good chance that Price gets the start - until that whole team decides to play hockey every game - it's going to be hit and miss with goalie results on that team.

Against a low scoring Coyotes team, I'm going to guess Halak gets the start. Just my luck.
