I was one of those who believed Price would turn it around, but after each of his terrible starts, It seems like Halak will inevitably steal the #1 job...

The Price owner in my league's been spreading "Price to the Wings" rumors for a couple of weeks now, but nobody's biting on his offers. Probably not a better situation for him though - go in and split starts with Osgood for the rest of the season. Not like Osgood or Howard have played well. Price is going nowhere. Too much at stake for Gainey on that one...
If he were a forward, he would be 'squeezing hte stick' and you have Halak who has no franchise tag and nothing to lose if he plays bad, hence he is loose.
I think Price will turn himself around but it will take something to just click. He can go no lower than he is now. Once he is out of the basement he will be able to grow into a great goalie.
And no, I am not a Habs fan but you can't help but feel for hte kid.

Price made some big saves in the first to keep them in it, it could've been a lot worse.
This is my habs fan brain thinking.Gainey will never trade Price.But Gainey will get fired by christmas.By then the next GM will trade Price for Lecavalier.The next GM will be Patrick Roy.
It will be Roy first move as a GM.

As a Halak owner, I for one am happy to see Halak shoulde get some more playing time as a result of Price's struggles. Halak being less of a "name" commodity would be easier to move for Montreal and there certainly are a few teams with goaltending quandries.
