    Default Varlamov or Anderson?

If I could, should I make this deal (trading away Varlamov)? I'm in a position to go for it this year in my very deep keeper league (in sig) - we start 2 goalies - currently I start Osgood and Varlamov (and have Conklin on the bench). A week ago I would have probably pulled the trigger but now that Varlamov has played decently in his last 2 games, I'm thinking I should delay and see if he can keep it up. Tempting though! Any advice is appreciated.

to begin, I'm not a fan of Varlamov....

Now, that being said, I doubt if moving Varlamov for Anferson will make your goaltending any better in the long term for this season. Yes, Anderson is the guy in Colorado, but this team will come back down to earth. Anderson will probably post slightly better than a .500 winning% by the end of the year. I'm thinking his numbers probably finish around 32-30-6, 2.70 GAA and .910 sv%.

Do I think that Varlamov will post better numbers than that this season. No. Unless he steal the starting job, he probably gets 20 wins this year.

Howver, this is a keeper league, and Theodore won't be in Washington next year. Varlamov playing for Wahington could be close to 40 wins. Those are numbers Anderson can only dream of in Colorado.

If you are going to deal anway Varlamov, you can do better than Anderson.
