#2 Goalie
Hi guys, my draft is quickly approaching and looking for some input as I finalize my draft strategy.
I've got Lundqvist as my 1st goalie, and I'll be drafting a 2nd goalie (league in my sig) as early as I can to support. I'm picking 7th and 12th (snake draft so I don't see 4 goalies going in picks 8-11, but I don't see more then 2 goalies being picked before my 7th pick. My plan is to grab a stud RW and then a goalie with one of those two picks.
How would you rank the following goaltenders for next year?

Miller
Varlamov
Also is there a big enough difference that if I get the 5th best, instead of the 3rd best in that list that I should take the goalie with my 7th pick instead of my 12th?

my thoughts are that people are sheep meaning they follow the person in front of them! If you use your first pick and grab the best goalie available (7th) I would bet the picks after you are goalies and you are still able to grab your forward of choice with your next pick(12th)!

Well I'm pretty sure that the guy with the 5th overall pick is going to pick a goalie, I'm just wondering if I should take that RW at 7 to make sure I get the RW I want, or is there a big enough difference between the top 4 goalies on the list and the ones left.

This depends on what forwards are still available. I was torn between Perry & Mason in the first round of my keeper, I took Perry, then Vanek fell to me in the 2nd round, and I got Mason in the 3rd, couldn't of worked out better...lol (We kept 6 players)
I think If Backstrom is there I take him, otherwise I'd say Miller will be there later and I'd be delighted with him on my roster as well. Judge according to what forwards are still around
