am i giving up too much? my plan in this is after getting kipper, i will have a goalie trading chip. with that i can offer a trade for the owner of crosby because all she has is emery and harding. and when the whole process is finished i\'ll have replaced jokinen with crosby. and with the loss of timmonen i hope to pick up someone like berard, i still have lubo and gonchar so as a 3rd D i think i can give him up.

yea, thats y i\'m trying to find a way to get kipper at the lowest cost possible incase the ifs and maybs don\'t work out and then i\'ll still have turco and kipper which makes a good goalie tandem.

with the ifs and maybs aside tho, would the deal above be an even/good one?

In writing this, I am doing so under the assumption that this is a keeper league. If so, I think this is a pretty decent offer. Huet kind of scares me as I feel he is a groin tweak away from not having a job. Kipper is a Tier 1 goalie and I would expect to pay quite a bit to get him. Staal to me is a key in this trade. He is still really young and who knows where he will play, though I like seeing him getting more PP time.

As you noted, you can afford to lose Timmonen. If you turned Huet, Timmonen, and Jokinen into Crosby you are doing well. The problem with your plan is that I don\'t see a staight up trade of Kipper for Crosby meaning you are going to have to give up some more. Crosby is nice, but what will it leave you.

unfortunately it is not a keeper league. would you still think its a good deal? at the moment however i think i\'m giong to stand pat. i think i\'m just bored and want to make trades but are not exactly necessary. i think if i were to make a trade like that i would keep out my dman and do jokinen and huet for kipper and staal. due to that fact that its not a keeper league.

I like the 1st deal and would take it but forget about the Crosby trade. I don\'t like the 2nd offer as much, Connolly is a major band-aid boy and personally I really like Vishnovsky.
