Talk to me about my boy Nodl...I know how I value him, but I am curious how you non-Flyer fans value him? I'm considering dropping him this year in favor of keeping Cheechoo (team in sig). I feel I'll have a decent shot at redrafting him, but I want to know just how highly some of you value him...I gotta think his value is fairly low at the moment....?

i already told you that i wouldnt pick him up if you drafted him. It all depends on how he does in camp i think. if you look at how he played last year, the best he will get is 3rd line minutes. He is defensively responsible so i see him playing a good shut down role but i just dont think he has the finishing capabilities to ever be a consistent scorer.
I wouldnt be surprised if Maroon gets a shot to play in the top 6 before nodl.
i think your looking at the average run of the mill forward who can easily be replaced on a fantasy roster. of course i could be totally wrong and he wakes up and breaks out. which is what i am sure your afraid of.

tough call, Cheechoo will out point him this year and maybe next. That said, popular opinion on this site of cheechoo seems to be at an all time low, so you would probably stand a good chance of redrafting him in a late round even despite him being entrenched in San Jose's top 6 for the time being. Hate to say wait until the Heatley drama unfolds, but it may be the most prudent move.

Cheechoo will outscore Nodl until Andreas ends up a fringe NHLer and bails for a Euro league.
One thing is certain after watching Nodl play for the Flyers last season, he is pretty fast ... but has awful, AWFUL hands.
At this point, I don’t even consider Nodl a “poor man’s Thomas Vanek” like he was once labelled.
Keep Cheechoo and root for Nodl in the AHL.

I don't know if this helps, but in our just completed 30 round draft (5 of 0 NHL GP players and 25 of any player), Cheechoo went in the 14th round (14.219) and Nodl wasn't taken at all.
