stastny for a couple of ovs

proposed this deal before tonight\'s game, strangely enough it was accepted today.

in relation to the team in my sig, i\'ve traded stastny for radulov and federov (basically stastny for radulov)

i needed to address my wings, so despite stastny\'s huge game tonight, i\'m pretty content with acquiring rads.

what do you guys think?

I think Stastny is going to have a great year but I am high on Radulov. I haven\'t had the time to see who Rads is playing with. Any idea and is he getting the ice time needed to have a good year?

he\'s playing on the third line right now and not getting much pp time, but i don\'t see that lasting. the kid just has too much talent and i think his eventual upside is greater than stastny\'s, imo.

You better hope your right... Stastny will be the #1 center in colorado soon enough and I don\'t see them getting any weaker in the next 5-10 years

yeah, i figured as much, but i also figure that radulov should be a stud, in the hopefully not too distant future. i\'ve got quite the derth of young talent up the middle too, so i figured he was expendable.

i do have sid, j.carter, m.koivu, brule,horton and then turris waiting in the wings. i know, REALLY young, but i\'m hoping in 2-3 years (i don\'t mind waiting) that i\'ll be pretty set.

i\'ve got stastny in my pool and have been tempted to deal him while he\'s hot , but am nervous that i moght be trading away a future , maybe even present top 20 pt player.i\'m going to ride the wave a while yet.

I would NOT trade Stastny right now if all I was getting in return was Radulov. Stastny is money in the bank AND (and it seems like many people are forgetting this) he is basically the same age as Radulov (Stastny is just 6 months older).

Radulov may have a promising future, but nothing is for sure.... He\'s had a few really good games in the NHL but hasn\'t shown much consistency.

Stastny, on the other hand, is on fire and over the second half of the season last year was one of the best point-producers in the league..... and we all know how well he\'s played so far this year.

I\'d expect that if Dobber were to update his pool guide right now we might see Stastny\'s upside revised to 110-115 points as opposed to 90 or whatever it was at in the Sept. 21 update.

If you really like Radulov, go ahead and trade Stastny for him, BUT you should be able to get Radulov and another quality player in return (though I know I sure wouldn\'t be trading Stastny right now -- the sell high theory works better when you\'re getting rid of a guy in his 30s or any injury type like Havlat or Gaborik, NOT a rising star -- I think the best is yet to come with Stastny).

I wouldn\'t trade Stasny for Radulov either.

Why trade young, guaranteed production now for future production? Even if he slows down, Stasny will get 90 points this season and will be a point per game player for sure.

If you are in a keeper pool, Stasny is the type of player you try to build around.

It may still be 2 or 3 years before we see Radulov\'s full potential. Stasny is doing it now.

I like Stastny and Radulov. I do think that Stastny has been under rated. I would rather own Stastny than Radulov. As narduch mentioned, Stastny is doing it now. Radulov still has to deal with Trotz.

I think you could have gotten more in return. With as hot as he is right now, you could\'ve landed raddy and another good young guy. Raddy will do ok this year, but won\'t really break out for a year yet. Stastny will go bonkers this season. Think top five among centers in points.

i agree as well, but when i proposed the deal it was only 2 games into the season and granted he had a great first game and i expected him to have a pretty good year, i wasn\'t expecting him to go nutty like he did last night.

oh well, even though it\'ll be tough seeing him rack up the points this year, especially because i had him last year too, i think i like how my wings are now shaping up.
