NOTICE: Dobber Site Upgrade

Hello everyone,

Just to let you know, we will be attempting an upgrade to the Dobber Web site.
It will come in 2 stages.
The 1st is a general site upgrade.
and the 2nd involves the Forum.

We expect to be conducting these upgrades sometime tonight between 10pm to 11pm EST.

So, in case you see anything funky going on.
We don\'t anticipate any issues, but there\'s always the small possibility.

ok, the First Phase of the upgrade is completed successfully.

The next phase is the forum.

We may have to actually take the forum off-line during the upgrade.
If so, we will place a notice at the top of all pages of the site.

the new forum looks great!

one comment i\'ve got though is that the default colour on the signatures is just a little darker than the background. i know the font colour can be changed, but due to the size of my team in my sig, i can\'t fit the code in.

is there any way to set the default colour to, say, black? or should i just get a smaller team...

I have made mention before at how great the site looks, and how easy it is to navigate thru to all the top notch info available. That being said, the one part I wasn\'t all that impressed with you have now fixed. This forum update is exactly what was missing, and now you not only have the best fantasy hockey site on the planet, you have the best looking one too! I know the fancy packaging is not nearly as important as the meat and potatoes of fantasy info you provide, but I welcome the new look, I love the changes, and I LOVE DOBBERHOCKEY!!!

What happened to posting the latest forum posts on the home page. I really likes that and if something caught my eye, I could just click on it and read it. Otherwise nice job.

Ok, the forum upgrade is complete.
The first thing you\'ll notice is the look, I think it makes things alot easier to read.
You can also, go into your profile and see additional things such as viewing all your posts.

enfuego, I noticed that after the upgrade.. but too tired to do anything about it. Will put it on my list

Firefox isn\'t providing RSS lists in my Bookmark Bar anymore. Should I just resubscribe to it?

please change the settings so that the \"subscribe to this thread\" checkbox isn\'t selected by default anymore for ever post that is made.

Yes, you\'ll have to resubscribe, sorry for the inconvenience.
I hadn\'t thought of that.
Because this is a pretty large upgrade, it also means different url structures.

Well, you \"might\" be in the minority - i would think most people, especially the ones asking questions, would want to know when their post has been replied to.

That said, Ideally every user should have the ability to toggle this on and off. I thought this was possible, but I see now, it\'s not there.

this is the only message board I have been on where it is defaulted to on. Yes, it is nice to know when a message has been replied, but no, it\'s not nice to have my email inbox flooded with messages every time someone replies in a thread that I have posted in here. I have over 500 posts, and I don\'t have the time to sift through an accompanying number of emails. The users should be in control of this option, or there should be an option to not receive email from the site.

Okay, I have turned of the auto-subscription

For threads you are already subscribed to, you can turn it off in your profile area
