I like Franson to make the Preds with the other two getting a cup of coffee. I like Carlson\'s upside slightly, but they are all pretty close, IMO.
Shattenkirk
- What is this kids upside?
- When is he going to be in Colorado FullTime?
Franson
- Upside?
- Will he make the Preds next season (so much depth in NSH on the backend)
John Carlson
- Upside?
- Does WSH take a chance on him next year or when will he make the CAPS team?
Which of these three is the best fantasy option (G, A, PPG, SHG, GWG, PIMS and +/-)?
Who will make the most impact next season (if any)?
THANKS

I agree with locoman but everything i\'ve read so far points towards Franzen being moved since the Preds like Blum so much. They did take more d-men in the draft too. Either way i think Franzen will be playing somewhere in the NHL this year. Later

I think upside Franson has the lowest but he\'s also the surest bet to play next season of these three. If he\'s not playing for Nashville next season then Blum leapfrogged him and look for him to get moved. What else does he have to prove in the AHL. A move likely helps him, with the depth they have in Nashville.
Shattenkirk I feel confident will be back in college next season, so he\'s still a few years off. But in terms of pure offense he probably has the highest upside.
With the Lepisto trade, it becomes clear that Washington is pleased with Carlson\'s growth. He could get a taste next season, but would likely benefit from a year of pro hockey in the AHL. With your categories I favour him the most. His physical game adds an element the other two don\'t have as much of and on a team like Washington his offensive upside goes up too.
