Well, he doesn\'t scream it, but I think I\'d prefer Brassard. But it\'s close.
Gilbert
or
Brassard?
Or perhaps neither.
I could have one or the other as a carry over for next season and would appreciate any \'inside\' information.
Thanks as always.

"It's such a fine line between stupid, and clever."
Depends on the league situation but I am guessing in most instances it\'s Brassard.
If Brassard ever gets a handle on his injury woes (see Marc Savard) he has the potential to be a stud. I see Brassard in the mold of Savard but hitting that potential a bit earlier. He\'ll be surrounded by two lines of scoring in CLB (baleeee dat!) and has the best set of hands, besides Nash. As long as he gets past the injury issue, much like Savard, hold on to him with both hands! I\'m taking the chance.

Agree with the Savard/Brassard comparison, although I don\'t think Brassard has 100 point upside (very few get that far).
Maybe 80-85 for Brassard if all goes well. He does seem to have more maturity at this age than Savard so I could see him hitting his ceiling faster. He won\'t be in the coach\'s doghouse as much along the way.

Yeah it definitely depends on the situation and who you already own. Taking a flyer on Brassard does make sense though as he does have a lot of potential. Injury issues aside, if he can jell(sp?) with Nash, you\'ve got an excellent long term keeper.

Brassard does have 100 pt potential. However, he is a pure band-aid boy. I think his style is very different than Savard. Savard had injury problems early on and shook them. Brassard has had MAJOR injury problems.
