DobberHockey Upcoming - A Faster Forum

This is gonna cost me - both initial and ongoing I\'m sure. But I\'m confident enough in sales to spend the dough. Priority Numero Uno will be to change the forum to Vbulletin and make it run faster.

My guy over in China has been quite busy...so if any of you know how to do this (are web experts) drop me a line and I\'ll consider you.

forum wait times are pretty brutal sometimes. i would click on \"hockey forums\" tab on the main page, and then it would take a while to load.

yeah, load times can be frustrating @ times. I usually just load up a few threads in new tabs.

Ya it just seems the forum is slow, everything else is great. When I click on \"home\" is quicker then snappin your fingers..

Gotta spend money to make money. This is gonna be good though. I have noticed that the forums have been a little slow, but I just assumed that I had a virus. :lol:

i never have any problems with the forum, but then again. I ain\'t watching porn on my comp either that will make my computer slow B)

I can vouch for that statement and say forums are the same with or without porn...:lol:

Great news though Dobber! Addition of PM and faster forums are showing your dedication to our love for fantasy hockey thus getting my money every year.

Yeah, but Dutch it\'s not porn that turns you on from what I hear. Isn\'t something weird like goldfish sites or inflatable toys? Those websites don\'t take as much bandwidth

An update on this everyone - the wheels are in motion and the goal is to make the transition to vbulletin in three weeks. So around June 15-24. Then we\'ll see how quick the forum loads. If that doesn\'t do it, I\'ll take the next step and see about more powerful servers.

Another update - the software is purchased and the groundwork laid. We are investigating how to tie-in Joomla with vbulletin
