I think it\'s because Bruins will play again tomorrow, and it\'s against Montreal. Thomas should be in net for that game.
Fernanez is injure, that\'s why Rask is backup now.
Whats the deal in Boston? Why did Rask get the start today? Is there a trade in the works with Manny? Will Rask get a start tomorow?

Nice Showing! 35 saves for the goose egg- kids got potential...
Yeah, Fernandez is injured right now, so we should get a decent look at Rask in the meantime. I am really going to need a start out of Thomas tomorrow though or I forfeit this week\'s goalie categories (thanks for sitting Giguere all week Carlyle).
I think that the Bruins plan on using an 80/20 Thomas/Rask split, but if Rask handles himself well, he could easily bump that up to a 60/40 split in favor of Thomas. No need to overwork Timmy is Rask can hang. Thomas will obviously not be in danger of losing the starting job now and any time for Rask is just added development time. Now\'s a great time to scout him if you own him!

yeah he did look good but lets temper expectations a bit, starting on one of the best teams in the league does not an elite tender make, I\'m usually more encouraged by the tender pulling SOs on FL or LA tan a team like this year\'s BruinsNice Showing! 35 saves for the goose egg- kids got potential...
I just found a well-written article claiming Rask might not only become the B\'s starter next year but could also win the calder trophy.

I actually think, the salary cap reasoning makes a lot of sense. The author is maybe taking it a bit hard on Timmy, but with the young huys around in BOS, giving Thomas 5 million or so seems unlikely.

Yeah, I think its time to pick up Rask in keeper leagues even if he returns to AHL next week. I can easily see the Bruins dumping Fernandez at the trading deadline. If so, Rask would be the back up for the rest of the season and probably start 1 out of every 3 games. With a decent performance, he\'d likely be #1 going into next year.
