Pouliot or Nodl

Benoit Pouliot:

I\'ve had him for a couple years now, and I\'m just not getting much out of him, and I\'m worried that I\'m holding him for no reason because he doesn\'t seem to be going anywhere with Minnesota.

Nodl is available as of today in my league, as well as Makarov.

I know with prospects when they\'re all rated this close it\'s a crapshoot, but anybody think it\'s time to drop Pouliot?

So, keep Pouliot, or go with one of these players:

Nodl (14 in Dobber\'s prospect rankings)
Makarov (21)
Ryan Jones (41)
Jan Mursak (47)

You are doomed with any player drafted to Minnesota other than a Goalie.

With that team,it\'s all about their style of play. only twice in the history of that team has a player scored more than 70 pts.

I\'m not saying Nodl, but I am saying Pouliot is doomed in minny based on situation.

that is a difficult decision. of all those players, i would probably want Nodl... his attitude just seems so much better than Pouliot\'s.

the problem is that Philly is a deep team, and Minny is not. if there is a coaching/regime change there, it could all turn around for Pouliot very quickly. or if he\'s traded...

any other guys that you have that could be dropped for Nodl?

I\'d prefer both Nodl and Makarov over Pouliot. Makarov first.

Here is my team: It\'s a 16 team dynasty, we keep all, and have no Minor League team, but huge rosters.

C: Staal/Pavelski/Little/Sundin/Belanger/Oshie/Eller
LW: Kovalchuk/Whitney/Pouliot/Kozlov/Brunette
RW: Havlat/Afino/Cleary/Ryan/Eberle/Parrish
D: Jova/Gonchar/Coburn/Vlasic/Montador/Alzner/Schneider/Aucoin
G: Ward/Leighton/Biron/Stephan/Sabourin/Leland Irving

I could probably drop Sabourin, or Afino without giving up much, if anything. It\'s a huge league though, so free agents are always tough to come by.

Dropping Sabourin and Pouliot to pick up Makarov and Nodl would be my move.

i would drop Pouliot and pick up Makarov. This guy will be good. He almost made the team this year. I like Nodl but who knows what opportunity he will get in Philadelphia.

Makarov will slip into Chicago\'s lineup next year very nicely especially with the departure of Havlat.

I\'d draft Nodl, and I\'ll tell you why. When I was a kid we spent entire days at a time playing the original Ice Hockey game on the original Nintendo. There were three characters that you could use, and you would make your line-up based on the three body types. There was the big guy, who was slow but had the cannon of a shot that you could take from back in your own zone, we called him Chunky or \'Tucky Fried Chicken. There was the average guy, who could skate, shoot, was an all-round player, we called him Gretzky. And then there was the really really fast skinny guy, who flew around the rink like a pinball, was kind of hard to control but really fun to play, we called him Noodle.

All you needed to be in great shape was to field two KFCs and two Noodles (Play was 4 on 4). Forget the Gretzkys.

Three cheers for the resurrection of the great Noodle, Nodl.
