Hands down - Malkin. He will be a 100 pointer year after year, and Horton tops out approx. 80. Playing with Crosby beats Jokinen, not to mention the studs on PP1 blueline - Whitney/Gonchar.

I think you also have to consider injuries. Horton has been a bit of a band-aid boy and plays a rough brand of hockey, thus more injury prone. Keep or get Malkin!

There is no real thought process here, grab malkin and run, if your giving up malkin, jsut run far far far far away from this trade.

Think of it this way. Malkin consistently warants consideration for a 1st round pick. Whould you pick Pouloit or Horton in the first round? Obviously not. In fact in a one year yahoo draft I had on thursday I picked up Horton with the last pick in the entire draft. I have him in a keeper and got him in the 12th round.

Such a trade would be absurd.

Thanks guys for solidifying my thoughts, I am the one trying to get Malkin, I thought he was going to do this deal, but I guess he found out this site and read the posts. His first offer was Malkin & Bernier for Horton & Michalek should I accept this deal?
