Strategy: 16 person snake draft.
Round 1 : Assuming Crosby and Luongo go 1, 2, my strategy in the first will be to grab either a top 5 goalie or a top3 LW. If neither are available, then go for a top 4 centre or RW depending onwho looks to have the better production.
Round 2: If I have a goalie go with the best available forward, otherwise, the best available goalie.
Round 3: grab any PPG forward available, again placing emphasis in order on LW, RW, then C in that order, while trying to balance production as well (ie if the bes LW is a 70 pt guy and there\'s a 90 pt C still on the board, go for the C. If it\'s down to a 70 pt LW and 75 pt C, grab the LW as they\'re much rarer)
Round 4: Start adding D men into the mix, if the top 10 D men are already gone, then grab the best one available, otherwise round out top 3 while balancing points.
Round 5 and beyond: best point producer available, start looking at SH specialists and Backups in round 6
Looks like your league favours goal scorers over playmakers. You\'ll want to take that into consideration.
Your lists look good. I personally would tweak a few (include DiPietro in the top 15, move Staal up), but I don\'t think you are out to lunch on any of it.
1 starter takes care of 5 categories and 11 starters take care of 9 categories. Call me crazy but I like my chances much better each week if I have a horse in net and a suitable backup when he isn\'t. Elite goalies are rarer birds than any other position - I am not sure there is a rationale in your league for taking anything other than the best goalie available after Crosby if they are top 5 (which I think Lundie is among by the way), but maybe I am missing something.
