    RW - Hemsky, Zherdev
D - Boyle, Bouwmeester, Zidlicky, Ehrhoff
    G - Emery, Rolson

    Here are thoughts/questions
    - little disappointed with Emery. Reasonable to expect 40+ wins?
    - Not sure if duo Cammalleri/Frolov is good
    - RW is very weak, LW very strong
    - Will Mueller be sent back down to AHL before 10 games?
    - Zidlicky/Prospal should be much better this year?

    Thanks!

    Hey Joos

I was looking at the values in your league - am I wrong in thinking goaltenders can come out huge? Like say what would Brodeur have got last year and Crosby according to these values?

    5. Heatley - 186.00
    6. Hasek - 177.03
    7. Selanne - 177.00
    8. Kipper - 176.41
    9. Lecavalier - 174.00
    10. Hossa - 172.75
    11. MA Fleury - 169.4
    12. St Louis - 164.25

Well not quite as dramatic a difference as I thought it might be. I think I would have scooped a goalie first round depending on who was there - Ovechkin will have a hard time matching a top end goalie unless he gets on the penalty kill full time. 9 goalies in the top 20 point getters is a pretty telling stat.

All in all you did pretty well I think - Erhoff and Roloson would be 2 that might not do much for you - you have several wild cards and I think a few guys that could to be real steals - like Zherdev, Prospal, Mueller.

So essentially this league only has one bench position huh? Wicked.

    Here was my thoughts:
I was planning to take a goalie 1st rd but all the top tier goalies were gone. AO dropped down to 9th overall which was pretty good. He should improve on his points last year and hit around 160-170 points. Emery should improve on his totals last year as this year will be the 1st time as a full starter going into the season. Roloson had a horrible season last year but still put up 90 points, so hopefully he can hit 100 points this year. Ehrhoff is iffy, really had no one else to pick.

Yes only 1 bench and I chose it on a goalie i guess.

What do you guys think about the Cammalleri/Frolov duo? They should post similar numbers from last year?

Thanks for the replies Shoeless, as always your input is of high quality, definitely deserves a karma point lol

Well there is something else to consider in your first 2 picks - had you take a goalie first (my choice might have been Lundie or Nabbie because I think they will come up big in your league this year) then you don\'t get Ovie so you need to look at the offset in points between the goalie you might have taken and the skater you would have taken in the second round with the points of the guys you did take - might be a wash.

Ya maybe, Lundqvist might have been the better 1st round pick but when I saw that AO had still been available I couldn\'t resist inch: I kinda think people are underrating him and forgetting that he put up 106 points in his rookie year and now that he has a real center who know what he will put up. Hopefully the duo of Emery/AO pan out. If Emery can put up 40 wins, he will be on par with Lundqvist and I really hope and feel that AO will hit the century mark again this year

That is very true iggy if it was a 12 team league and roto or h2h.

J2 - I have this stupid inkling that has been going on for a month now that Emery is somehow going to implode this year - totally senseless I know, but I have sure been staying away from him in my drafts.
