Default Six prospects, five spots, who to cut loose?

Have six prospects, we are able to carry 5 in our minors bench to carry over to next year. Would like your opinions on which one I should cut loose.

    Nazar
    Hutson
    Nikishin
    Yurov
    Heidt
    Poirier
    Ivanov

Nazar, Hutson, Nikishin I feel are locks, so it's between Heidt/Yurov/Poirier/Ivanov

I already have Kaprizov and Rossi on my team, I'm definitely heavy on wild here, I also have Shesterkin/Sorokin as my goalies going forward.

Looking at your goalie situation I’m cutting Ivanov. Your defence isn’t your strong suit, and I personally am excited for Poirier and he looked very good before injury in the AHL. It’s definitely between those two but judging by your situation I’d drop Ivanov.

You listed seven prospects here, so we have to cut two? I would cut Ivanov first and Poirier second.

Ivanov stood out to me as well but I'm not very knowledgeable about Heidt and Poirier. A short, Russian goalie that is several years away seems like a low probability of success to me. Granted, I do have him on a deep team.

I’m reading 7 as well. I’d cut the same two, but assuming this is Jeremie Poirier I would cut him before Ivanov. People underrating Ivanov a little bit here.

What's your scouting report on Ivanov?

I think you include Yurov as one of your locks as well, he just had a pretty nice year in the KHL, hopefully he jumps the pond sooner rather than later. I'm also dropping Ivanov here and not breaking a sweat in doing so. He is a decent prospect, but he is one of God knows how many goalie prospects that are out there and very few will ever make it to the NHL full time and if they do it will be a long long long wait. In a keep 5 rookie format, a guy like Ivanov is just taking up potentially valuable roster space IMO. Which leaves us with Poirier and Heidt. I would normally recommend that its sometimes wise to base your decision on positional requirement and establishing some balance with your prospect keeps, meaning, keep at least one D Man and not 5 forwards, but in this instance, you keep the best player available and IMO that is clearly Heidt. I'm dropping Poirer and Ivanov. I wouldn't worry about running a bit rich on Wild prospects.
