I mean we all talk how talented Svech is and last night with the season essentially on the line he played less then 17 minutes.
I agree. 17 minutes is too low especially considering how Svech was playing last night. While obviously RBA gets a lot out of his team, it's safe to question if their grindy, SOGs from everywhere, forecheck, forecheck, forecheck, model is holding them back in the playoffs. We know it works well in the regular season but when they come up against a hot goalie, which will often happen in the playoffs, they don't have much of an answer.

Amazingly, if the Rags win this series, they'll be the first President's Trophy winner to advance past the second round since.......they did it in 2014-15!

Trocheck making less than 6 mil a year is highway robbery, his overall contributions make him worth 8+. Panarin is producing and that is huge with his overall lackluster postseason past whilst in Manhattan. I was shocked Laviolette made a lineup change when they hadn't lost yet but Chytil certainly looked solid in his first game in quite some time. Igor is the Conn Smythe winner if the playoffs ended today. Obvi a whole lotta games to go for glory but this is their best shot since 2014 no doubt. Chris Drury deserves more appreciation for the tremendous job he did at the deadline plugging all the holes and not expending anything great. Roslovic is arguably the best deadline addition league wide when considered from a cost standpoint. Please NY end my misery and I can die in peace!

I still kinda feel Carolina is better than NY but......

Great to see NY move on.

ME too. They just can't get over the hump.

Guentzel was a surprising playoff disappointment.

To me it was Freddy. Don’t think he’s the guy that can be consistent and take you to a cup final. He’s not fully to blame but it always seemed that Shesty was outshining him. I think he let in some softies in this game and series.
