Am I the only one that thought the game was way closer than the score? Just fixing a couple of mistakes and the game is different, however that's always been the Leafs issues in the playoffs, "fix these mistakes and the games close".

Honestly I'm so numb to this I don't even know anymore lol. However, I've never felt great about Sammy even after his return, he seemed to always be giving up at least 3goals but making big saves, it just felt off. I don't know how you'd turn to Woll though, it's not like he's been on his game since his return.

Their big issue is (and always has been) their big guns going quiet in the playoffs.

Tonight is huge, don't see them climbing out of a 2-0 deficit.

i dont really dissagree, i thought it was pretty even but concerning is the fact that for 6 yeras now or so the offense is not same in the plyoffs...but its early so we will see what happens tonight

Auston Matthews was the only reason that was a win, and it was the best playoff game he ever played. I'm nervous unless Marner steps up. Because the only reason why they won was a once in his career (so far) game by Matthews, you can't rely on that forever.

To be fair, the reffing from what I saw (missed the 3rd for hockey) was bad on both sides. McAvoy gets away with a lot. But it doesn't mean a lot when you go 1-11 on the PP.

You also have 2 days between games, so playing up the reffing takes eyes off your play a bit.
