You think the ceiling of Korchinski is "a lot higher" than Hughes because of Bedard....?

The devils have Jack Hughes, who is and will continue to be a top 10 point producer in the NHL. Bedard will likely get there, but isn't yet. And then in addition to Jack Hughes, NJ has tons of elite offensive skaters whereas so far Chicago doesn't have any. I'm not sure I follow the logic.

Well we probably disagree on the effect Bedard will have on everyone who will be on PP1 in Chicago in 3 years from now. I think Korchinski will surpass Jones next season and from there, the sky is the limits as others good pieces will join the team (Nazar, Moore and maybe Celebrini if Chicago is lucky). I watch a lot of Chicago games this years and I can say I am 95% sure Korchinski will surpass Jones and be the QBPP1 for many years.
Also, I agree Jack Hughes is an exceptional player…but nothing to compare with Bedard in 3 years imo ( I can see over 120 points for Bedard but I don’t trust Jack Hughes to stay healthy enough to ever come close). and without him, I don’t see other superstar fowards in the Devils (no, Hischier and Bratt are not IMO). Plus add Hamilton and Nemec as great competition for PP1..
So that’s my reasoning why I wouln’t trade Korchinski for Hughes, but that’s just me I know I could be wrong…time will tell..

Maybe Korchinski is the next Bouchard. Will need to wait 2-4 seasons, and reward is pretty high. But Hughes is there now…

I was asking for your views, because I work on an offer involving my L. Hughes, 2OA and maybe plus for the 1OA (Celebrini) and K. Korchinski.
Well now, we are getting to the heart of the matter (:

Maybe I have this wrong, but if you can actually move Hughes for Korchinski and Celebrini then you make it happen.
