honestly i think there is better chance he plays next season than season after. Leafs will be in cap hell this year but after that Tavares goes off the book so they maybe able to adjust. They will need at least 3-4 guys at minimum wage so Cowen is as good of a guess as any.

Big year in Jrs doesn't mean much towards NHL probability. He's a 1st round pick so he'll get a better look than others but he still needs to do it against pros with some sort of consistency. That's how he plays in the NHL.

If he was AHL eligible I'd say he was a lock to get games. I think he will get a taste of the NHL to start the season but I don't think anyone can truly say if he'd be with the team throughout the year. Because of their cap situation I'd assume he's got a legitimate opportunity that not many 19 year olds would be given.
