I'm looking to leverage my IR space to stash some sleepers or maybe trade bait for next season. Poitras and Roy are both interesting as they have some potential (maybe not next year but in the near future) and they are cheap (we use a salary cap for keepers). Ideally, I'll grab them both if and when Trouba or Hertl return to action, but if I can only grab one, is one obviously better than the other? Or is it just a coin flip?

Pretty much a toss up I would think. Poitras was given opportunity and has made a very favorable impression, scoring at almost .5 pts/gm. Unfortunately for him, the Bruins and fantasy owners, season ending surgery on his shoulder has derailed things. Roy has also skated NHL minutes, a few less than Poitras, and he has put up 9 pts in 23 games for the Habs. Both are showing promise.

i personally think that Roy is a better player but Poitras has bit better situation in short term.
So if you looking for next season i think Poitras is safer bet, 2-3 years from now i think Roy has a chance to be close to PPG guy and i dont think Poitras will be that.
