He's missed double digit games each season since the 2018-2019 season, including more than 20 games each of the past two. The greatest ability is availability, and Laine seems to have both physical and off-ice personal issues clouding his availability. Let someone else take the chance.

I don't really think Laine is "overrated" at this point, I don't even think he's rated very much at all. I think most have given up on ever getting any consistent production from him. At this point he's in pool party or yakupov territory where you might pick him up and hope he remembers how to hockey but you're not getting your hopes up.
