Lesson about goalies

So a while back I posted a thread about Ales Stezka, goalie prospect for Seattle. Read this thread for my thoughts at the time:

So far he has done well in the AHL, but so has every other goalie that played on the team this year. The jury is still out on his NHL prospects.

Unfortunately, a throwaway line in my post ended up being the answer...

It's also worth noting Joey Daccord had a good year in the AHL.

I remember that thread. It sparked my interest in Daccord and after doing some research I decided to grab him for this year. One of the few moves I've ever made on a nut bar; huge flake; heartbreaking voodoo ass NHL Goalie that actually worked out OK for me. Well sort of, now, it seems Joey has decided to hand back the starting job to Grubauer, but he had a good run and the future may be bright ... or not ... yep, that is indeed the way it plays out (:

Daccord has started 3 of the last 4 games. All quality starts. I think he's fine for the rest of the year. After that nobody knows what the random number generator will throw at us.

And I picked up and held Chris Dreidger for a while last offseason when Daccord was available. Not good.
