Minors Ranking Help (Tiers) - Will REP!

Hey All,

I took over a team 2 years ago (15 team points only, start 9F, 4D & 2G) and have been steadily building the minors up since. I want to make sure I'm doing a good job ranking my minors so I can know who to drop when I need room, who to trade away, who to value the highest, etc..

I get to keep players as minors until they hit 105 GP (85 for goalies), so if players are nearing those totals but aren't keeper-worthy yet (I get to keep 8 and my worst is RNH), so the ones near aging out will slide down my list a bit. Here's my attempt at tiering (by F, D & G):

I like it, but i think Savoie is about to sneak in to the top tire. I may even put him ahead of Benson. He has been very dynamic this year.

Only player I may rank higher is; Zary. That would be to move him into your 2nd tier.

Outside that, I think you did good

The tops of your tiers are fine. I may move a couple guys in the mid to lower areas around a bit. I do like But more than Geekie and Pelletier but he's further away. I guess it depends on your ability to be patient. I'd also move Simashev up to 3rd on your list but again, it depends on your ability to be patient.

Realistically, they are all fine prospects and the chances that any of us truly can give you an accurate assessment on who will be better than who is slim when you consider most pro scouts cant even get them right.

Thanks for all these insights so far! We have 8 main keepers and 30 minors spots, so I've got lots of time to be patient on these guys.

That's why I drafted Michkov over Carlsson this year - it's actually a good thing to have your prospects take longer to develop in the minors and therefore take longer to hit the 105GP where you either bump someone off your main keepers or lose them for nothing.

Thanks for these answers so far! I'll make those adjustments. Good to hear I wasn't WAY off on any of them. Anyone else got some thoughts on these prospects being ranked to high or too low?
