Hesitant to give up Brady, but is Svech +1st for next year worth it? Svech would likely replace him as my 3rd keeper. Sitting in 1st so trying to improve the rest of the way as well. Team in sig.

I'm passing. If you were out of the playoffs I'd consider it, but if you're in first I don't see a reason to risk it. Brady is a unicorn with coverage across your stats that Svech isn't going to be able to match. And for the rest you're giving up equivalent or better players than you're getting back.

I have tkachuk also in a similar league and my best guess is you keep him at all costs. If you’re in the playoff hunt and you can keep him as a keeper then I think you need to keep him.

Added to that depending when your playoffs start he plays 4 games starting the week of the 18th. So does Carolina but 4 games from him in a key playoff week is gold.

I hear what others are saying here but without a PIMs scoring category, Brady Tkachuk has been a bit overhyped and over valued player in fantasy circles - sure he's a great player but undeserving of his high draft position for the most part. He has way more name value, shoots and hits more than Svechnikov but everything else is pretty close. Tkachuk is a multi-cat stud, but Svechnikov is as well. That being said, Tkachuk is pretty healthy, whereas Svechnikov is injured fairly often so you'd have to bank on Svechnikov staying healthy. The addition of a first round pick for next year really sets up nicely for next season with the players being picked there all really swinging the needle for having another successful season. It's a tough trade sure, but a lot of upside for you and if you have a good draft next year, will set you up nice for a repeat. First Rd. picks in an extremely limited redraft league are pretty valuable.

I would not do this trade for Brady alone…. Walk away.

I would pass on this Trade, getting the 1st is nice but you are downgrading keepers, the extra players in the trade would have to be a slam dunk win to make me consider this as would help for the title push. I see this trade as a wash for this year, a keeper downgrade but a pick upgrade for next year.

I'm not trading B. Tkachuk with Svechnikov as the main return given Svechnikov's propensity for injury. I'm also not trading real assets for Nichushkin given his repeated player health absences and that Lekhonen horns in on Nichuskin's deployment for a few weeks each year.

Another vote for keeping Brady. I own him in a league with pretty similar cats (also no PIMs counted - see signature) and he's extremely valueable. Svech seems to never quite produce as much as his hyped to be able to. Seems like a perennial break out candidate to me. And Svech is waaay more injury prone than Brady, which settles it for me here.
